RE: Were you once a believer?
I have been a hardcore believer, almost wanted to go to a monastery and to become a saint.
Then I realized that there's no such thing as saints and sinners.

Hehe! I thought I wanted to go to a monastery. Not to become a saint (never had high hopes for myself Weeping ). But if your monasteries are anything like ours (Bulgaria), they're beautiful Smile

Oh, and welcome!

Did you want to go to a monastery to become a sinner? Consider

Intriguing idea. But I really am not into ladies. Or unwashed, hairy men in frocks...

I guess I wanted to serve the lord with all my heart and soul, being the unworthy worm that I was Weeping

Well, I don't think they can compare with the monasteries from your country, but many say they are pretty. I'm not of the same opinion, though lol.

Well, they hide a lot ugliness and/or stupidity inside. But also some nice, though deluded people. And most of them are situated in amazing locations, high up in the mountains, so this helps a lot. Plus, historically they have played an extremely important role, not least of all intellectually and culturally (but also to hide the people who were fighting to liberate the country from the Ottoman empire), so I'm willing to turn a blind eye Tongue

This is one of my favourite ones. Much more beautiful in reality.

They are looking pretty, indeed. Definitely prettier than those from my country (Romania). Nice landscapes, too.
So, we are neighbors Smile

We are indeed Smile.

I think yours are beautiful, too. Only, you seem to have spires and our churches have domes on their roofs. Some sort of Byzantine influence, I think (I kinda prefer it, to be fair... I guess I'm not that much into sharp, phallic-looking objects Wink )
