I'm currently reading a draft of this archaeology book due out in September.

I'm honored that my professor, the editor, has asked for my opinion.

Trying once again to read The History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire, Edward Gibbon.

Great book although I disagree with his contempt for the eastern empire. Gibbon's autobiography is good too.

Many of the books he used and quoted from in his travels all over Europe to complete his work are now lost to us.

Are you reading all 3 volumes or the Penguin concise version?

I will call him a liar and a dog here and now.

I have an eight-volume boxed set from The Folio Society, edited by Betty Radice.

I'm currently finishing up The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins, interesting read.
I also have been wanting to read The Prince by Machiavelli and all that, I like reading those kind of books!
