RE: What Are You Currently Reading?
V. by Thomas Pynchon. I read this once before, many years ago, but I remember none of it. It's like reading it for the first time, and I'm enjoying it a lot.

RE: What Are You Currently Reading?
Just finished the Pratchett book about an hour ago, and have moved Sense & Goodness Without God by Richard Carrier to the top of the reading list.

I have a new rule in place: I can't bring in a new book until I finish two of the old ones. The plan is that eventually all the books that I only intend to read once, and that I'm not keeping for future reference, will go on to the thrift store and My collection will actually fit in the bookcase.

Have you read any of the 'Jack Reacher' novels? Good escapism.

What did you think about the decision to cast Tom Cruise to play Reacher in the movies? My husband and I were aghast...then we watched the first movie and thought he wasn't all that bad.

I don't usually go for horror, but I'm in the middle of a book that is making my every hair stand on end: Trump Revealed by Michael Kranish and Marc Fisher of the Washington Post.

Cruise is way too short for the part. Reacher is 6'5". Cruise is 5'7".
