What Are You Currently Reading?
The Years of Extermination: Nazi Germany and the Jews, 1939-1945 by Saul Friedländer.

The first revolt is against the supreme tyranny of theology, of the phantom of God. As long as we have a master in heaven, we will be slaves on earth.

RE: What Are You Currently Reading?
The usual this time of year:
a couple of grizzly true crime books
and the ever popular, latest book on all things Hitler

I don't think there's a 5 year period (maybe 2) where someone didn't publish some new book trying to explain Hitler and his bunch or a book "uncovering new, previously unknown" Hitler secrets. Kinda the same with all the Kennedy stuff.

For whatever reason, this stuff helps cheer me through the holidays. Shy

Is this book about Hitler is written by Peter Longerich? If so then judging by his previous biographies (Himmler, Goebbels) it will be worth reading.

Also new books do offer new insight/perspective on Hitler. If you didn't already read it then I reccomend "Hitler: Ascent, 1889-1939" by Volker Ulrich.
