You are kidding right? You sure that isn't an imaginary book?

A real book... wow!

You must bow down and worship the book, then believe every word it contains without question. Then you must evangelize the contents of the book to the ignorant masses because only you can know what is true.

You must obey the book.

And you misspelled the authors name.

I've taken a break from non-fiction to lose myself in an alternate reality.

No, not I&I posts. Angry

I'm reading books from the Ring of Fire series, started by Eric Flint and carried on by him and several collaborators.

1632, 1633, Ring of Fire, ...

Lots of fun, quite educational.

* Hunt For the Dawn Monkey: Unearthing the Origins of Monkeys, Apes, and Humans (2004) by Chris Beard

This is a very interesting book on the history of early primate paleontology and the search for the ancestor of the anthropoids (monkeys, apes, and humans). The author provides evidence that Eosimias ("Dawn Monkey"), an early anthropoid with very primitive prosimian-like features, was this ancestor. This book has influenced me to pursue paleoanthropology in grad school.

The author was kind enough to reply to an email I sent to him. He gave me some pointers on grad school.
