RE: What Are You Currently Reading?
I'm reading two books right now. Dune, by Frank Herbert and also a collection of short stories by Ray Bradbury, entitled The Illustrated Man. Both are good reads so far. Big Grin

Oh, and I finished Magic Slays - better than Magic Bleeds but still didn't live up to Magic Strikes. More and more I can see just how controlling Curran is. Yes, it's understandable given his backstory and the tragedy he's been through, but still. For me, understanding someone is often tantamount to giving them a pass on the behavior that might result from their background and you can't live like that. Yes it's good to know why someone does what they do but then it comes down to can you live with the behaviors? Kate is tough and seems to be able to handle Curran, so I'm glad of that. Glad that she doesn't let him run her life. Big Grin

"The Illustrated Man" is pretty good. Some of that old sci-fi is silly by today's standards - e.g. "3 eyed green skinned Neptunians". Bradbury usually put in enough heart to make up for that stuff, though.

I'm reading War by Junger for rhetoric, and it's pretty good.

It's basically a documentary in book form with a bit of narrative to really weave together the ideas. It's about the war in afgahnistan right on the frontline in the KOP, and it's pretty insightful.
