RE: What Are You Currently Reading?
After seeing Chas post Intuition Pumps I looked it up and thought it sounded good so I bought it.
So far, I've just skimmed over the introduction and am thoroughly enjoying it.

It really is good. Also, they way Dennett presents it, you can (should?) read it in small bites.

Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.

I just started reading Equinox by Christian Cantrell. It isn't grabbing me the way Containment did, but I'm only a few pages in.

About halfway through "At The Water's Edge" by Carl Zimmer... excellent survey of the evolution from water to land and back into water (for some mammals anyway)!

I am re-reading the A Song of Ice and Fire series. I am currently on Book 4, A Feast for Crows. Seeing how much free time I have at work lately, I should finish well before the season premiere of GOT. (Only 4 days!!!)

RE: What Are You Currently Reading?
I am now reading “Elisabeth is missing” by the the british author Emma Healey. It's a mystery/crime novel, and it's Healey's first. The main charachter in the book is Maud, an elderly lady suffering from dementia.

My mum is also suffering from dementia, and by reading the book, I feel I get a glimpse into how her confuesed mind is working.

The book is beautifully written, with insight, compassion and love. It received a lot of atention when it was published by Penguin in 2014. I can truly recommend it.

"The Destruction of the European Jews" by Raul Hilberg.

The first revolt is against the supreme tyranny of theology, of the phantom of God. As long as we have a master in heaven, we will be slaves on earth.
