Angels on the Head of a Pin by Yuri Ilyich Druzhnikov.

The first revolt is against the supreme tyranny of theology, of the phantom of God. As long as we have a master in heaven, we will be slaves on earth.

Mikhail Bakunin.

Dialogues and Essays of Seneca. I've recently become interested in Stoicism and a lot of it appears to be highly useful.

RE: What Are You Currently Reading?
I just finished One Nation Under God by Kevin Kruse. It was all about how corporations and businesses have teamed up with politicians and clergy in order to further their objectives, which was religiosity and republicanism. So basically the Christian right was created in the 30's, and got so out of hand that we added "under god" to the pledge and "in god we trust" on money. It showed definitively that the "we are a christian nation" idea is bull. I really enjoyed it, and it seemed very well researched and lots of revealing quotes.

A man should not believe in an ism, he should believe in himself. -Ferris Bueller

That's what a ship is, you know. It's not just a keel and a hull and a deck and sails, that's what a ship needs but what a ship is... what the Black Pearl really is... is freedom. -Jack Sparrow

This is next. I want to hear about his life and how he dealt with cancer.

NOTE: Member, Tomasia uses this site to slander other individuals. He then later proclaims it a joke, but not in public.
I will call him a liar and a dog here and now.

Hitch's cancer isn't in that one. You want 'Mortality' for his cancer experience. I read it a while back and it's very moving although with no mushy sentimentality.

Mortality by Christopher Hitchens

"The person who is certain, and who claims divine warrant for his certainty, belongs now to the infancy of our species." - Christopher Hitchens

"Remember kids, if you don't sin, then Jesus died for nothing. Have a great day!" - Ricky Gervais
