I'm an American, and Terry Pratchett is my all-time favorite author. I'm getting I Shall Wear Midnight as a birthday present, actually. Otherwise I would have read it already. Birthday's on Tuesday.

You can probably tell that I'm a Pratchett fan by looking at my sig.

Young teacher, the subject
Of schoolgirl fantasy
She wants him so badly
Knows what she wants to be
Inside her there's longing
This girls an open page
Book marking - she's so close now
This girl is half his age

sorry, couldn't resist.

Shackle their minds when they're bent on the cross
When ignorance reigns, life is lost

You might have a problem with that, since Pratchett and Gaiman didn't write anything called Bad Omens. They did write something called Good Omens, though, which I highly recommend.

Tongue

On a side note, I greatly enjoyed I Shall Wear Midnight. The next book on my list is Against All Things Ending, the newest book in Stephen R. Donaldson's epic fantasy saga The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever.

That's where I got my username, actually. I've been waiting for this book for forever. Can't wait to read it.

I read The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn last year for fun myself. Twain/Clemens was an amazing writer and years ahead of his time.

I love classic literature for that reason, that and I'm English major! LOL!

Sissy Nation: How America Became a Culture of Wimps & Stoopits by John Strausbaugh

Why are left wingers as dogmatic as right wingers?

Why does the bulk of America bulk up on junk food?

Why are we lagging behind in math and science?

Why are our leaders such spineless bullies?

Is it because we, collectively, are spineless bullies?

And why do we fall for scams like "The Secret" and "The Power of Positive Thinking"?

All these questions and more are asked by author John Strausbaugh!

Does he have any answers to these questions?

Well he was hoping you would come up with a few... SISSY.

RE: What Are You Currently Reading?
I finished ''the third ape'' by Jared Diamond a couple of weeks ago, now I'm reading ''music and brains'' by Daniel J. Levitin in school during pauses and in home I'm reading ''The wordbook of ignorance'' by Kathrin Pasig and Alex Scholz.
The book ''music and brains'' and the one topic on determinism has made me interested in how brains work, so I think I'll start looking for something like ''brains for dummies'' or something.

Correct me when I'm wrong.
Accept me or go to hell.
