What Are You Currently Reading?

Reading anything interesting? Post it here.

I'm currently reading Neil DeGrasse Tyson's book:
Death By Black Hole; & Other Cosmic Quandries

The book basically covers everything astronomical that the general
public would enjoy reading about. It's like a less poetic but more
humorous and laid back version of Carl Sagan's Cosmos.

Here's a video of Tyson summarizing the title chapter:

RE: What Are You Currently Reading?
Just finished Sandra Cisneros' book "The House on Mango Street". Still digesting it, not sure what to make of it so far. Granted I will admit I appreciate a short read now that I'm buried to my neck in books...

Working on reading Thomas Moore's Utopia, The Canterbury Tales (not for the first time, but re-reading for class) and I have a few articles to read for my documentary course, but otherwise my readings have been easy to keep up with so far. Classes are starting to get into full swing, however, so it'll be difficult soon Tongue

Just finished "Have Mercy" by Wolfman Jack. He wrote it just before he passed away. what a great book by a great guy who lived the early years of rock n roll!

Nice, just picked up a copy of Greatest Show On Earth a few weeks ago.
I'm only a few chapters in but it seems very good so far.

RE: What Are You Currently Reading?
They didn't have ''the extended phenotype'' in the library of this city, it hasn't even been translated yet if it will ever be translated, and they don't have it in any other library in my province either, so I had to order it.
Only 7€ from the UK with free shipping, you can even get ''the greatest show on earth'' for just 10€! A finnish translation of it costs over 40€, which of course is a reasonable price for a book, but no-one my age can afford to buy expensive books all the time.

But now that I'm waiting for it, I started to read ''the third chimpanzee''.

Correct me when I'm wrong.
Accept me or go to hell.

RE: What Are You Currently Reading?
I'm currently working through the middle English version of Geoffry Chaucer's "The Canterbury Tales" which are wonderfully amusing in both serious and insatiably vulgar ways Tongue I've only read a few of the tales in translated English before so this middle English is a challenge but it's worth it Smile

Right now I'm reading Lord of the Flies. It's quite good, but there's something it's missing, something I found and loved in To Kill a Mockingbird. I can't put my finger on it.

Glad to see you took the time to underline titles lol.
I thought the same thing as well when I first read it but read it a few more times and you realize just how amazing it is.
