Glory Hallelujah - Frank Turner Live

Very nice! Thanks!

Feels like something Lennon would've wrote after Imagine if he'd've had the chance.

Frank Turner reminds me of Erik Peterson (Mischief Brew).

Pretty much the entirety of Pink Floyd's album The Wall on loop, but particularly "Wish You Were Here".

"Owl," said Rabbit shortly, "you and I have brains. The others have fluff. If there is any thinking to be done in this Forest - and when I say thinking I mean thinking - you and I must do it."

Probably my all-time favorite. You can't go wrong with Syd Barret, FSM rest his soul. ... I mean do you think you can tell? And did they get you to trade?

I liked the line "I'd rather taste a rebel's lure than drink blood from your cup" but it felt like I was at an IRA rally. ... Actually it sounded a lot like American Bluegrass so the rally might've been a lot closer than I think. Wink

Ok, so I have not spoken Spanish since high school. I know this song says something about happy heart, full of something and I think there's something in there about god also. Is this a religious song, or is she simply thanking god for meeting the love of her life?

Its on the soundtrack of Balada triste de trompeta (The Last Circus), a very crazy movie involving clowns. In the film one of the clowns has a moment of happiness with a woman who has what appears to be an abusive boyfriend that catches the pair together.

Wake Up The Voiceless - Story Of The Year

''I've swallowed every hook
Fallen for their disguise
Lived by the book
Felt the blade of the knife
As it pressed against my neck
We're taught to imitate
Segregate and divide
Do what we're told
Rise and fall with the tide
If we refuse to play the pawn
They will hear us screaming...

WAKE UP THE VOICELESS!
WAKE UP THE REVOLUTION!
Whoa, we are alive tonight!
WAKE UP THE VOICELESS!
WAKE UP THE REVOLUTION!
Whoa, we are alive tonight!

They advertise your life
Through a blanket of lies
Expand the truth
So their profits will rise
Ignore the sacrifice
Liars casting stones
At the gods they create
We're amplified to provide what they take
If we refuse to play the role
They will hear us screaming...

WAKE UP THE VOICELESS!
WAKE UP THE REVOLUTION!
Whoa, we are alive tonight!
WAKE UP THE VOICELESS!
WAKE UP THE REVOLUTION!
Whoa, we are alive tonight!

GO!!

They're the reason for defiance
We can't ignore
We're the promise of a new day
This is a war
The blood will spill
The voices will be heard
And tonight, we are alive

I've swallowed every hook
Fallen for their disguise
Lived by the book
Felt the blade of the knife
But I refuse to play the role
They will hear me screaming...

WAKE UP THE VOICELESS!
WAKE UP THE REVOLUTION!
Whoa, we are alive tonight!
WAKE UP THE VOICELESS!
WAKE UP THE REVOLUTION!
Whoa, we are alive tonight!
WAKE UP THE VOICELESS!
WAKE UP THE REVOLUTION!
Whoa, we are alive tonight!
WAKE UP THE VOICELESS!
WAKE UP THE REVOLUTION!
Whoa, we are alive tonight!
Whoa, we are alive tonight!
We are alive tonight!
We are alive tonight!
We are alive tonight!
We are alive tonight!''

I like reading the poetry first and then finding the music Danny. But the call to arms feels premature. Given time, I think everyone will wake up without having to spill any blood. Whether we can tolerate the time necessary ... well that's a different issue. Wink

'Is This My Fate?' He Asked Them - Story Of The Year

'Do you really fucking think
that it's a choice, a way of life
played by discrimination?
you're narrow-minded, quick to judge
with bible belt tunnel vision

This is ignorance
failure to evolve
is failure to us all
when will you learn
that this is where we fall
failure to evolve
is failure to us all
when will you learn
that this is where we fall
where we fall

"Is this my fate!?" he asked them
they answered, condemning him to burn
rejected, forsaken, for being fucking born
I can't believe that this is still a question
that needs an answer
a bigot's eyes judging lives
based on the sex of who you fuck

This is ignorance
failure to evolve
is failure to us all
when will you learn
that this is where we fall
failure to evolve
is failure to us all
when will you learn
that this is where we fall
where we fall

Burn (burn), burn (burn)
judged and condemned to
burn (burn), burn (burn)
judged and condemned to burn

When will you learn?
will you learn?
when will you learn?'
