RE: What Are You Listening To?

Beatles covered by David Bowie. I once argued with people on a Bowie forum that this was better than the original (but then, I'm not a Beatles fan). People said it had too much "Bowie histrionics." I said if you can't appreciate the Bowieness of this cover, you probably don't really like David Bowie.

E 2 = (mc 2)2 + (pc )2
614C → 714N + e + ̅νe
2 K(s) + 2 H2O(l) → 2 KOH(aq) + H2 (g) + 196 kJ/mol
It works, bitches.

Great bass line, but let me introduce you to the undisputed master.

(I do realize the difference in the song formats, but for Cliff's sake....)

But now I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma, a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret it as though it had an underlying truth.

Thank you, know very well who Cliff was. But I said Hook In Mouth has the best bass line. I did not say "Best bass solo ever. Period". And to be honest, I don't really favor bass all that much. Drums is my call, and somewhat gitar. The reason why I love that video is not only because of Jr's great work, but you also get to see Nick in the back. He's one of the only living heroes I got left after Hanneman and Samuelson died. Did I forget to say that Hook In Mouth is my favorite Megadeth song? Well, it is.

RE: What Are You Listening To?

I discovered this song a couple weeks ago when they were the musical guest on SNL. I HAD to hear it again. It summed up my current life situation. It makes me want to cry, it's so dead-on. Beautiful.

Hey! Hey! Hey!
I don't like walking around this old and empty house
So hold my hand, I'll walk with you, my dear
The stairs creak as you sleep, it's keeping me awake
It's the house telling you to close your eyes

And some days I can't even trust myself
It's killing me to see you this way

'Cause though the truth may vary
This ship will carry our bodies safe to shore

Hey! Hey! Hey!

There's an old voice in my head that's holding me back
Well tell her that I miss our little talks
Soon it will be over and buried with our past
We used to play outside when we were young
And full of life and full of love.

Some days I don't know if I am wrong or right
Your mind is playing tricks on you, my dear

'Cause though the truth may vary
This ship will carry our bodies safe to shore

Hey!
Don't listen to a word I say
Hey!
The screams all sound the same
Hey!

Though the truth may vary
This ship will carry our bodies safe to shore

Hey!
Hey!

You're gone, gone, gone away
I watched you disappear
All that's left is the ghost of you.
Now we're torn, torn, torn apart,
There's nothing we can do
Just let me go we'll meet again soon
Now wait, wait, wait for me
Please hang around
I'll see you when I fall asleep

Hey!
Don't listen to a word I say
Hey!
The screams all sound the same
Hey!
Though the truth may vary
This ship will carry our bodies safe to shore

Don't listen to a word I say
Hey!
The screams all sound the same
Hey!

Though the truth may vary
This ship will carry our bodies safe to shore

Though the truth may vary
This ship will carry our bodies safe to shore

Though the truth may vary
This ship will carry our bodies safe to shore
