The minimalist version: it's repeated 840 times.

Chris Adler from Lamb of God on drums, yeah it's gonna kick some ass.

But now I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma, a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret it as though it had an underlying truth.

The soundtrack for Fallout 4 is stuck in my head, especially the Diamond City radio station. Filled with popular music from before the bombs fell, the station is populated with licensed music from the 40's and 50's. Bing Crosby, The Five Stars, Ella Fitzgerald, The Ink Spots, Nat King Cole, and many others.

Personal favorites include...

Atom Bomb Baby - The Five Stars
Civilization (Bongo Bongo Bongo) - Danny Kaye
Crawl Out Through The Fallout - Sheldon Allman
Grandma Plays The Numbers - Wynonie Harris
He's A Demon - Betty Hutton
I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire - The Ink Spots
It's A Man - Betty Hutton
Orange Colored Sky - Nat King Cole
Pistol Packin' Mama - Bing Crosby
Right Behind You Baby - Ray Smith
Sixty Minute Man - Billy Ward And The Dominoes
The End of the World - Skeeter Davis
The Wanderer - Dion
Uranium Fever - Elton Britt
Whole Lotta Shakin Going On - Big Maybelle

Not only that, but the orchestral ambiance music is really good too. Composed by Inon Zur, who if you've played video games in the last decade or so, you've heard his work even if you don't recognize it. His work includes Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal, Champions of Norrath, Crusader Kings, Men of Valor, Prince of Persia: Warrior Within, Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones, Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts, Crysis, Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age II, TERA, Soulcalibur V, Dragon's Dogma, and every mainline Fallout games since Tactics (Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel, Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, and Fallout 4).

His work on Fallout 4 ranges from tense and thundering for your many battles, to disquieting and mellow pieces during exploration. Arguably his best stuff is the ambient exploration music, which helps to set the world's bleak but ever hopeful tone. Humanity managed to survive the apocalypse, and is tenaciously clinging onto bits of civilization here and there. But even here, in the gutted ruins of a world centuries after a nuclear holocaust, Ron Pearlman's narration still rings true in that "war, war never changes".

Personal favorites include...

Main Theme
The Commonwealth
Wandering - The Blasted Forest, Pt. 1
Hope Remains
Time to Die
Rebuild, Renew
The Infiltrator
Red Brick, Broken
Honor & Steel
We Are Unstoppable
Lone Wandering
Enough is Enough
Humanity's Hope
Endless Ocean, Endless Dreams
Covert Action
In This Together
Fallout 4 Main Theme ('Spinner' Mix)

That main theme is so good! It can still send shivers up my spine during the opening piano work.

RE: What Are You Listening To?
Any singer/songwriter fans around here (I haven't got through this thread entirely yet)?

I just have to get it out there that I love jaymay. She's all I've listened to for like two years now, and still I can't get enough.

She's a lovely woman with a lovely voice and a lovely brain.

I recommend downloading everything of hers. (Carefully, there's also a christian rapper that goes by the same name)

jaymaymusic.com or youtube to have a listen.https://youtu.be/dJMnDCk2g6g

The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who have not got it. (G.B.Shaw)

The first revolt is against the supreme tyranny of theology, of the phantom of God. As long as we have a master in heaven, we will be slaves on earth.
