No, I can't blame it on possession...just sleepy and addled.

I'm not anti-social. I'm pro-solitude. Sleepy

Homo habilis was most likely a scavenger because paleoanthropologists have found fossilized animal bones that have tool scrape marks over top of predator gnawing marks.

RE: What Did You Learn Today?
The word Tartarus (as in Tartarus Sauce) is not an accidental misspelling by our Cat Connoiseur but rather it is this:

In Greek mythology, the lowest depths of the underworld. It was a region of eternal darkness where the evil were punished after death for having offended the gods. Here Zeus confined the Titans, who were prevented from escaping by hundred-armed giants. Later classical authors sometimes used Tartarus interchangeably with Hades to designate the entire underworld.

Bravo, A+ for cleverness Thumbsup

RE: What Did You Learn Today?
That if she's clearly out of your league and she starts flirting with you, she's either a hooker or a honeypot. ... maybe both. Tongue

As it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
And I will show you something different from either
Your shadow at morning striding behind you
Or your shadow at evening rising to meet you;
I will show you fear in a handful of dust.

Girly wasn't born yesterday and has decades of training in this, so I really didn't learn anything new today. But today was the first time I heard a Base Commander say it explicitly in an in-briefing to an exercise. Big Grin

Someone actually used to joke I reminded them of a Bond girl. Only, I really am nothing like one Weeping

Hmm, why am I weeping, I don't want to be like one...

And we don't use blackmail. We use umbrellas (hmm, that wasn't in the best of tastes actually... shame on me.)

Now I'm really curious to now more about Girly's decades of training...

It really ain't very sophisticated training, but once a year for going on the last some 30 odd years they remind me that if "she's clearly out of your league and she starts flirting with you, she's a hooker or a honeypot. ... maybe both." It's quite effective.

I have a shitload more of disturbing but not quite pornographic animated gifs. Instead of provoking me, pat me on the head and give me a rub on my neck to pacify me.
