RE: What Did You Learn Today?
Today I learnt how to crazy glue my toenail back together. I figure it worked on the broken teapot last week, why not my toenail?

So many cats, so few good recipes.

Today I learnt that in Romania a bus of public transport system is "Autobus" and a bus that's for travelling is "Autocar" (dunno how to spell it right).

Yes. Hence, Argentina is north of penguin land.
There's penguin land in the south of argentina, but the country is long and I live far from them...

Geography lesson time.

No Eskimos in the Antarctic. And they're now known as Inuit or Native People.
Interesting aside:

"Inuit" means "The People". When you use the word Inuit, you are, in their language, referring to all people. Inuit people have an awesome way of looking at things like that. No specific word for their race, because they don't need words to describe races. (that's sorta the concept anyways)

Did you know that the Inuit have 3018 different words for "global warming"?

RE: What Did You Learn Today?
I learned that even though I have been feeling disconnected lately, slightly depressed (maybe more than slightly), and in a what's the point of it all mood...that I can still be touched by the plight of strangers. There was a man, wife, and two year old son with a sign asking for money as he had lost his job. I got groceries, cut back on some junk we don't really need and got some cash back to give them. There's still a flicker of life inside. I hope things improve for them.

See here they are the bruises some were self-inflicted and some showed up along the way. - JF

I learned something so smart today that my head would explode if I even began to know what I was talking about.

I have learned that there are some Star Trek movies I have not seen.

The hotel has got back-to-back Trek.

I don't know any of the characters though. This should be fun.

I learnt that I have a considerably thicker accent than I had realized.
