RE: What Do You Like About TTA Forum?
I've learned so much since joining here.
First off, with Buddy Christ's interpretation of both the old and new testament Thumbsup
Then came so much insight into other religions from various members, here Thumbsup
I've also learned a lot about different cultures from around the world Thumbsup
(things I never would've known unless I traveled there)
I've enjoyed the twisted and bizarre humour (not unlike my own) which has left me almost crying with laughter Thumbsup
I've e-met so many wonderful people with all their quirks and foibles Thumbsup
(also met IRL some pretty awesome ones, too)
Yep, it's a pretty good place to be! Smile

Humankind Dodgy (a total misnomer)

I like this forum because it has provided me with a sense of confidence that I'm not alone in how I feel about things. When I initially deconverted I felt very very alone. I knew no one locally that I could confide in. This forum provided me with such a community of like minded people. A place to confide in, people to talk to and an acknowledgement that I'm not alone.

I value that this forum appreciates and values free speech. Few places do that, and lots of places censor things. I've always appreciated that we've made it a point to protect that as much as we can. I think it allows a very good forum for open communication, people from all walks of life, and the ability to openly discuss topics that may not end up being discussed otherwise.

This place is fucking awesome. I'm glad to have the chance to talk to so many of you and even make good personal friends with some as well. For some of you, you are like a second family to me. This place is great and it wouldn't be so without the people here Smile During times when I had some depression swings, during times I had rough life changes and even through my divorce... this forum was always here and the people have been nothing short of what I would call a family.

Except Chas, he has a strange beard.

Awesome people, even if we don't always agree on everything (or anything in some cases)

Some were so awesome I even took one home with me. So there ya go.

Also yeah! What about sassy hobbits?!

There is a community here and many viewpoints.
I respect a great many of you in various ways, like a great many of you for many reasons, and greatly value the openness and freedom here.

And the new recipes for baby that I've gotten. Drooling

But when's it my turn to take someone home? Consider

Why do I have the urge to reply "nothing, I hate you all"

But you know that's not true.

I Heart this place.

I love our comunity and home away from home.

I like the double edged sword of the freedom to truly speak your mind, and the good and bad that goes with that.

I like that everytime I think I am pretty smart I read someone else's post and go wow.....he/she is erudite. Keeps me grounded, and that isn't easy Blush

I've learned so much from people with so much knowledge it's humbling.

You're one of those, you know...Smile
