Being an atheist means I don't have to miss tailgating before NFL games anymore.

Exactly, that would mean no Whoppers on movie day during Lent Gasp Tongue

"I'm sorry, I can't come to church. I gave up whoppers for Lent."

A rough paraphrase of a real conversation I had during Lent a few years ago, when I was still trying to be a practicing Catholic:

Woman at Friday fish fry: "So, what did you give up for Lent?"
Me: "Ice cream."
Woman: "What's so hard about that?"
Me: "Well, it's my favorite food. The rest of the year, I have ice cream just about every day. What did you give up?"
Woman: "Meat. Of course, I hardly ever eat meat anyway."

Facepalm

I think she meant to ask "What's so hardly about that?" Tongue

@DonaldTrump, Patriotism is not honoring your flag no matter what your country/leader does. It's doing whatever it takes to make your country the best it can be as long as its not violent.

Being an atheist means being able to explain why fish fries are always on Friday, and then not really caring either way.

Can a person give up Lent for Lent every year or can it only be done once?
Like a parking lot ticket.

That could mean you're an atheist, or it could mean you're a garden variety American Catholic after Vatican II. Wink

I will show you a picture with a quote of one prominent Russian communist atheist. His name was Genrich Yagoda and he was the head of the NKVD. This one jew alone is said to have orchestrated the deaths of at least 10 million people!

I think your statement is an absolutely NONSENSICAL one.

Atheism is a disbelief in god. Nothing more or less than that.
