There's a distinct lack of Benny Hill on TV. Beats Hinn hands down.

Why contrast them, instead you can just watch them blended together.

The hell did I just watch?

Excellent. Emphasises the comedy and futility of religion very well.

What I've learned from 1 hour of Christian TV
I filmed my kids and wife a couple of years ago at x4 walking down a canal somewhere in Wales and then afterwards saw fit to add the Yakety Sax theme to it. We all enjoyed it and I'm not in the video which is a good thing.

Rod Parsley would be so pissed to know you called him "Ron". But I digress, and am in total sarcasm mode here. Sounds like a bag of fundamentalist pooh got flung at you for an hour from our fellow highly evolved primates. However I could grant that the 'highly evolved' comment is rather dubious. Point is: you survived. Others won't, lawd have mercy on their souls!!!!

That was excellent. Thumbsup

I think the Yakety Yak Song should be the National Anthem of Vatican City.

Yeah.

He is deformed, crooked, old, and sere,
Ill-fac’d, worse bodied, shapeless every where;
Vicious, ungentle, foolish, blunt, unkind,
Stigmatical in making, worse in mind.

Oh my fuck, I can't watch it for too long. If the wife catches me, she'll smack my arse (that's for putting god channel on and not the cider).

You got 2 excuses you can use: 1) You thought it said Benny Hill and were waiting for the show to come on or 2) Fess up that you were watching Benny Hinn but you were fascinated by the psychology of people believing in faith healing plus thought Hinn was entertaining in a moronic way. I think you'd get more mileage with option 1.

Or....you were hoping for a good spanking.

Who the hell needs a house that big? You'd need to take extra water and supplies just to get to some of the rooms.

Fortunately, The Chasers brought rationality to religious TV.

I will be forever grateful to my paternal grandmother. She taught me to love hiking and the outdoors, because when we vacationed with her in East Texas, there were two activities: the above-mentioned hiking, or watching megahours of Oral Roberts, Jimmy Swaggart, and Billy Graham. Even as a young Christian, those bastards set off my bullshit detector, so I hiked the miles of East Texas forest instead.

It was a communion of sorts that lasted much longer than any ritual in service to my blind beliefs. If there is a god at all, he lives in the country, and imbues it with a serenity that resonates in my heart.

Upon watching videos of Benny Hinn's faith healing act, I could only wonder why and how so many people could be so fucking stupid. I mean, what the actual shit is going through the minds of these sheep.
