Stir fry veggies

What veggies do you use for stir fry?

Huh

I would love to learn to stir fry.

Since I hate cutting up veggies, I buy a premix fresh/raw assorted mix of snap peas, carrots, broccoli, brussels sprouts, kale, red cabbage. But you can really add any veggies you like to stir fry.

Thanks. I have been thinking of experimenting with odds and ends from the salad bar at our grocery, but will look for a premix.

As a newbie you might want to start with just the basics and branch out from there. Our grocery store has a pack of frozen "stir fry vegetables." I usually add baby shrimp and wing it with the spices. I also always have "stir fry oil" around. But instead of shrimp I use pretty much any leftover meat like beef or chicken or pork chop. I'm sure the real chefs here would never start with a bag of frozen stuff but I cheat cook a lot.

(Of course I see now that I was in the process of typing that response when Thor weighed in.)

Just made a big batch of Gazpacho to serve our neighbors today who kept an eye on our place when we were away for the eclipse.

6 pounds of tomatoes
2 Euro cukes
2 jalapeños
1 lg sweet onion
3 orange bell peppers grilled in olive oil
3 ears of sweet white corn, partially cooked
6 radishes
3/4 c olive oil
1 c red wine vinegar
generous splash of aged balsamic vinegar
salt
Usually throw in cilantro but one of them have an issue with it so not this time.

Going to serve that with fresh kalamata olive bread and wine.

.. so that will be the main thing we're eating until it's gone.

Man got to sit and wonder 'why, why, why?'
Tiger got to sleep, bird got to land;
Man got to tell himself he understand.”

I think mine is similar to yours, jenny bee.

It also changes seasonally. Like summer staple is watermelon and corn. We are rarely without it.
This time of year we are in tomato central.

I also wouldn't be a happy person if I didn't have coffee and chocolate in the house at all times Smile
