Nope.

I posted it in this thread a bit earlier.

Pretty much.

I just feel the need to play a nice fast-pace sort of shooter. Unfortunately, the only ones I have on my glorified calculator are Metro 2033, which while it is a good damn shooter in it's own right, it's not exactly what I feel into right now, and Killing Floor which'd be too slow for what I'm feeling right now.

I'd play Battlefield 3 or a CoD game on my 360, but I don't have a Live connection and lets face it, campaign sucks on those games.

Halo? Borderlands? Team Fortress 2? Left 4 Dead?

I can't play Halo on my glorified calculator and I don't really want to play on my own on 360 anyway. I hate boarderlands and don't even have a copy any more. I de-installed Team Fortress 2 because I rarely play it and don't get much fun out of it. I don't have Left 4 Dead installed on my glorified calculator and I don't particularly feel like playing it on my 360; either way I'd be stuck with retarded-ass bots.

Something fast...

How about that Ninja game the Painkiller developers put together? *Google* Shadow Warrior.

Or some of the other throwbacks? Serious Sam. Rise of the Triad. Hard Reset.

Failing that; you'll absolutely be able to run Painkiller.

Current build is a combat oriented Fugitive/Mastermind, built for high dodge.

http://pd2skills.com/#/v3/mNOLhIJeGDa:eD...12-2-34-15

Up through Fugitive to Sneaky Bastard (aced) and Low Blow (aced), and up through Mastermind for Kilmer (aced) and Gunslinger (aced). Able to run around in a two-piece suit with 50% dodge, (65% when crouched, 75% when sprinting). With a Clarion rifle and a STRYK 18c pistol, with the right mods, both can deal in excess of true 40 damage per shot, and both are some of the highest rate-of-fire weapons in the game. I can drop a Bulldozer in a few seconds by just unloading a whole Clarion mag into it's face point-blank.

So this build involves constantly shifting gears between crouching and sprinting, and with Kilmer (aced), I can reload my weapons while sprinting. Gunslinger (aced) brings up the STRYK 18c damage to almost as strong as the Clarion, only in a fully auto pistol in my secondary slot. Actually I almost never aim down sights as after around 1000 hours of playing without an aim reticle, and equipped with a decently accurate and stable assault rifle (or shotgun, pistols, or SMG), I can reliably head shot enemies out to about 20 meters. Combine that with the 1000 rounds-per-minute Clarion rifle, and it's a handheld buzzsaw of bullet death.

But yeah, watching me play could possibly give you motion sickness.

Oh, and here's me playing PAYDAY 2 like a crazy fast motherfucker... Tongue

RE: What are you playing?
I'm really getting into Expeditions: Conquistador.
It's surprisingly really good. And nicely accurate to the time period (aka: rather racist towards local "savages".).
Whoever made this game knew the time period rather well.

RE: What are you playing?
(07-01-2015 09:26 PM)earmuffs Wrote:  Playing a bit of Cities XL Platnum (which is just a better version of Sim City)

My first town is a small(ish if you can call just over 55,000 people small. Here in NZ that would be borderline a major city) farming town. I based it around this small mountain where you can see my small wind farm ontop of in the center. My farms you can see in the top left and there's more out of shot to the right. My small industry district at the north of the town.
I'm currently in a growth period where denser housing is needed, apartments and such (as seen closer to the screen down the bottom), but because I never planned for this town to be any bigger than around 10,000 people the infrastructure is going to have a hard time keeping up shortly.

(I did have a high resolution pic but image hosting websites wont let me upload 22mb picture)

edit: Expanding. Put in a direct highway down the center of the mountain in the middle of town to ease traffic congestion. Also put in bus lines. Also expanded the wind farm. It increase nose pollution but it actually worked out rather well because the major nose problem is on the mountain and just out of the way of the housing. It's low density, low income housing anyway so it doesn't matter if they get a little nose pollution anyway but still.
Also expanded the industry district to included more factories and manufacturing. Expanded housing to compensate for the created jobs.

The difference between the two is the second screen shot has double the population as the first.
(even though my revenue is the same due to increase need for public transport and public serves such as cop shop and education Dodgy )

So I fired up ol' Cities XL Platinum again.
Loaded up my city. My heavy industry (in the far north, you can probably see the air pollution) was having a hard time developing because it noone to sell its goods too. I could export them and earn money from this but instead I decided I would continue the production line and build manufacturing which takes heavy industry goods and turns them into manufactured goods which I can trade for more dosh (or I could continue the production line and build high tech industry which buys manufactured goods and produces high tech goods which sell for the most, but I'll get to that later). So that's what you see below in the bottom closest to the camera. Some manufacturing sprang up straight away due to demand but it mostly stagnated because there was no workers. The brown squares represent properties with no buildings on them.

So because there is now lots of jobs but no workers I need to build some housing to attract workers. Queue housing boom:

So where my previous post my city was at 110,000 people it is now up to 260,000. Over doubling in size with this housing boom.
58% are working class with an unemployment of a low 3%. Most of the taller skyscraper like buildings you see are low income housing blocks.
39% are skilled workers and there is enough jobs available to this group to increase its size by 21% (not 21% of total population, just increase the 39% by 21%).
And finally 1% are executives.
With 0% 'elites'.

RE: What are you playing?
Well my heavy industry just collapsed...

All the brown squares represent no businesses/failed businesses. And it's just increasing (meaning my heavy industry is decreasing) it's about half of what the industry used to be. Complete economic collapse.
My income has gone from around $50,000 per tick to just $1,000. It was -$20,000 in the initial collapse but I managed to get finances into the black.

The issue? Well I created a little too much housing... as in my population is now 460,000... and it rapidly drove up the cost of fuel and forced my heavy industry out of business which has resulted in less tradable goods which has meant I now have no money to import more fuel to drive business back into gear to generate income for me.

Working class unemployment is now around 30%.

Time to create a second city to generate fuel so I can import it to this city for free I think.

So basically, what you're telling us is that you managed to take a rapidly developing city and threw it into Great Depression level decline?

Impressive work, Muffs.
