What books do you have around your computer?
I was just sitting here after replying to a post that made a reference to a book, and I realized that by the computer I have:

2 Catholic bibles (one's older, one's the newest that I know of existing)
2 copies of Possessed (one was damaged, so I replaced it)
2 copies of Notes from underground (one was damaged, so I replaced it)
The Inferno (by Dante)
Two bibles
A few APA or otherwise Psychology-related books
A Lutheran hymnal

I was just thinking how it seems.... kind of odd yet related, even though I had no intention of it.

Does anyone else have books around your computer for reference, or whatnot, when doing things? Or just odd arrangements of books that might seem odd (even if just for an atheist or a theist for that matter).

I used to. Then I learned about Google so I usually reach for a search engine instead of a book. Plus, most of my books are still in boxes because I'm too lazy to get bookshelves.

Neat collection of things there Smile What's metaphysics? I would search, but thought I'd ask instead.

Searching would have given you a better response, tbh.

Quote:"Metaphysics is a branch of philosophy concerned with explaining the fundamental nature of being and the world,[1] although the term is not easily defined.[2] Traditionally, metaphysics attempts to answer two basic questions in the broadest possible terms:
"What is there?"
"What is it like?"[3]"

The philosophy building at my university has 2 doors side-by-side leading to the same entrance. One is labelled "Morality" and the other is labelled "Metaphysics". Metaphysicists insist on using their door. Mainly, because they're cocks. Yes
