RE: What did you do today?
Started in on replacing the drum brakes on the front of my truck (a '70 Chevy 3/4 Ton truck with a camper shell on it) with disc brakes. It is 46 years old (it came to my wife and me from her father when he died), and has the original suspension components in it, right down to the riveted-in ball joints. Got one side apart with wrenches, a crowbar, hammers, chisels, drills and other implements of destruction. It's going to take this old man two days to change over all the parts. Some of them had over half an inch of grease and dirt on them. Luckily it lived in southern California for most of its life. If that crud had been on it that long and lived where OLB is, it would have been "solid" rust. As is, it's just crud, with true metal underneath. Half the work time is involved with scraping the crud off!

I finished a novelette I've been working on. I'm not sure it's any good.
I also started putting together a few short stories. At this moment I'm taking a break from attempting to write a movie script. It's not going well..

RE: What did you do today?
Packed up my things for another 2 months of work. Other than that, I finished one book and started another.

One of the things I really like to do everyday is look at your avatar and watch Donald Trump throw up. Laugh out load

Got off the bus? Did you stroke the crank? [/engine joke]

Working on my tool chest and slipped with a razor sharp bench chisel. Only lifted a little skin on the thumb side of my ring finger. And I know better than to put my pinkies in front of sharp objects. Just once in awhile you have to take a chance.

RE: What did you do today?
Since I am retired I laid abed all day today! I awoke with a swollen eye yesterday. I went to the pharmacy and presented it to a pharmacist. She recommended some eye drops that are antiinflamatory as well as antibiotic. $8.50 forthe bottle. SO I bought them and today instead of going out in the sun at all I have stayed in the dark bedroom and put in the drops every 4 hours and it is getting better although I awoke with it worse this AM than it was when I lay me down to sleep.
