RE: What did you eat today?
"Asian beef strips" MRE and an Irish cream instant cappuccino using a packet I picked up at the chow hall the day before.

There were a whole bunch of fat wild turkeys prancing around near the firing range and looking quite delicious. It's like they somehow know we're not allowed to shoot at them so they make sure to parade themselves in front of us.

I used to run a Range Officer training course in the Santa Monica mountains here in southern California. I'd have to call a cease fire when mule deer wandered through the firing range. I could have dropped one with my .357 pistol at the distances involved. I'm talking <50 feet! I have 2" groups with iron sights at that range. Unfortunately, we were using a Boy Scout camp, and the ranger there was well, a stick in the mud, if there was any mud. Dodgy

Can you bow hunt those smart-ass turkeys? Angel

Not at this range. They're completely protected on post. At Fort Drum you can hunt them with bows.

Once at White Sands, NM they had to call a stop because some antelope looking thing (forgot what it's called, some unintended African import) wandered into the range with a dead mountain lion stuck to its head. Got itself impaled and the thing was parading it around unable to dislodge it so we had to wait for animal control to come figure out what the hell to do about it.

RE: What did you eat today?
Bagel, cream cheese (vegan), latte

Lentil soup and a mango cranberry muffin

I think maybe tofu springrolls with peanut dipping sauce for dinner later and maybe a fruit smoothie with crushed up pumpkin seeds inside--yum!

You're supposed to use them to catch the birds, then eat the birds, silly.

RE: What did you eat today?
Drinking Beverage
Cheerios w/milk and a banana.
Drinking Beverage
Smoked salmon omelet and some tortilla soup.

Left over roast beef, roast onions, mushrooms, and spicy cole slaw. Brownies for dessert.

Last night was roast beef, etc. and birthday cakes - chocolate cake w/fudge frosting and Boston Cream Pie. Drooling
And Drinking Beverage

N.B. Boston Cream Pie isn't a pie. No It's two-layer yellow cake with custard between and chocolate fudge frosting on top.
