Right, but I think in America, the restaurants are afraid of being sued by wimpy Americans who have no tolerance for hot food -- so if you want it really hot, you have to beg them to do it. And this was an online order, so I didn't have that option. But no complaints, it was hot enough for me -- I'm a wimpy American.

Laugh out load

I love spicy food. I always get it hot too.

If the white people come out of the place crying, it's probably good. Middle son goes to the Indian restaurant and says he wants it hot, they ask "American hot, or Indian hot?". He gets the "Indian hot". Yummay! I'm not in Carolina Reaper or ghost pepper territory, but I do like spicy heat.

Trying a new beer this evening. Tampa style lager. I have no idea what Tampa style lager is, but I'm feeling adventurous.

... Oh wait, isn't this a thread about what we all ate, not what we drank?

Hard boiled eggs
Celery
Carrots
Chummus
Bean burrito
Sriracha on everything above
Cliff Bar
... This is my usual stuff.

RE: What did you eat today?
Going to try a seasonal experiment - blood soup (sort of).

Main constituent will be black sausage pudding, mostly liquidised for the stock but for a few lumps as clots. Finely cut carrots and red bell pepper.

Can'make up my mind whether or not beetroot will add appropriate colour but make it too sweet... No red food dye in cupboard.

Black pudding yum, the best is Bury black pudding I remember going to see family there as a kid and enjoying a hot pudding with mustard in the market place.

Pudding with mustard? Is this like a sweet pudding? Or like a savory?
