I sometimes buy vanilla (vegan) yogurt and slice up some apples and sprinkle some cinnamon on top--so good Thumbsup

Good idea. But when I go light and fast route then it is really light and fast - as in opening and eating fast Smile

The first revolt is against the supreme tyranny of theology, of the phantom of God. As long as we have a master in heaven, we will be slaves on earth.

Looking forward to leftovers for lunch today but don't know if I feel like piecing together more wontons.

That is a different combo, but I like both of those foods. But I also have weird combos that I do too. Like I love sweet and spicy things together. And I mean together. I could eat a chocolate cupcake and then chase that with tortilla chips and salsa/guac.

I've never made wontons--are they that hard to put together? I think I would have a hard time making sure they stayed closed, without having veggies poke out of the sides.

Not hard, just time consuming if you do it completely from scratch. The wrappers are plenty sticky enough to stay closed when wet.

My (Chinese) ex-wife's godmother would make a social event out of it. She'd have like 10 of her friends over with a huge pot of wrappers and filling and they'd just spend an hour or two chatting and making dumplings / wontons. Fun times. Too bad she was insane Hobo

I'll have to try to make some. I don't have a lot of patience with cooking. I just want the food to be done, so I can hurry up and eat Big Grin

Why was she insane? Did she wear a wonton on her head while she made them? Unsure Tongue

It's got a name, but I don't know what it is. We just call it hillbilly quiche. lay a half sheet of Pillsburry crescent dough in the bottom of a small baking dish. cover with a mixture of sausage, egg and cream cheese. Put another sheet of crescent dough on top and bake. It's quick, easy and actually pretty good.

RE: What did you eat today?
Going out for a latte and a bagel in a bit for breakfast. Then I need to run to the grocery store and get a few things for tonight--ugh, not looking forward to that--it's gonna be a madhouse Hobo Then drop a gift off at my friends house. I'm also bringing some bagels for her and her family because I'm nice like that Tongue

Then for dinner, I'm having friends over for a dinner party and we're making steaks (for meat people) and I'm making a lentil loaf (for veg people)

Sides: Baked potato, green bean casserole (I make one reg and one vegan-ed Wink ) assorted roasted vegetables

Appetizers: Stuffed mushrooms, cheese and veg platter, bruschetta

Dessert: Midnight Chocolate Cake Drooling

Then later, when we open presents, I'll make some Irish coffees.

Happy Holidays to anyone celebrating anything today Smile
