I love that guy!

Freud is another interesting guy. But much like Newton's alchemy most of his methods and hypotheses have been disproven. He did however start the ball rolling.

I believe oedipal desires are responsible for sexual deviations, though his test group was limited to German boys. I wonder what Freud would say about his own preoccupation with sex though. Also I heard Interpretation of Dreams was considered scientific fact, so I believe in all 'dat too. Thumbsup

Kinda like a poll. Not "Re: Debate some random Theist who agrees with everything we believe in politically and scientifically"

So what are you expecting here? People submitting bibliographies?

Hey. You used to be cool, man. Don't argue.

I suppose the "man" is rhetorical? I am female. And at times I enjoy arguing. Smile

I was being tested morondog? What was your initial guess?

Well, I just looked at my username and I could see why you may have thought I had less than good intentions coming to this site...

Big GrinTongueRolleyesWinkShyBowingBlushIdea Because I couldn't decide which.

So how does the "initiation" process work here, especially pertinent to me?

Actually it is now thought that Freud's vivid dreams were a side effect of the large amounts of Cocaine he was ingesting at the time. Pharmacopsychology and Neuroscience are at the forefront now.

By me, yes. It's not a forum-wide thing though, I was joking about the pool.

But every time you interact with someone, every time you post, you are telling us something about yourself, not necessarily directly. From what I've seen, you've got some sense of humour and you can think stuff through, you've shown that you're capable of defusing some tension... that kinda adds up to being an OK guy. Maybe a bit weird but OK. If you carry on like that a lot of people here will like you.
