RE: What do we know?
Noah's arc must have smelt a little musky.

Theism is to believe what other people claim, Atheism is to ask "why should I".

RE: What do we know?
Any good reason why I should feed your bias and confirm how you imagine I ought to think? The only, one, single thing atheists have in common is they think it's highly improbable any god or gods exist, and, failing proof, will assume they actually don't.

You can find atheists that are anti vaccination, that advocate against equal marriage rights, think they've been abducted by extra-terrestrial lifeforms or that think the NSA is listening to them specifically.

Having read any specific author is not a requirement to qualify as an atheist.

RE: What do we know?
For His invisible attributes, that is, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen since the creation of the world, being understood through what He has made. As a result, people are without excuse.

The heavens declare the glory of God,
and the sky proclaims the work of His hands.
Day after day they pour out speech;
night after night they communicate knowledge.
There is no speech; there are no words;
their voice is not heard.
Their message has gone out to all the earth,
and their words to the ends of the world.

Meanwhile, the LORD instructed one of the group of prophets to say to another man, "Strike me!" But the man refused to strike the prophet. Then the prophet told him, "Because you have not obeyed the voice of the LORD, a lion will kill you as soon as you leave me." And sure enough, when he had gone, a lion attacked and killed him. (1 Kings 20:35-36 NLT)

Theism is to believe what other people claim, Atheism is to ask "why should I".

Exactly my view (besides the message part), but I'm not a Christian.

Rhetoric and fluffy poetry are poor substitutes for arguments supported by evidence.

What do the majority of Atheists really know about evolution? How many people here have actually read Origin of Species? All the Atheists I've met are hilariously misinformed, and only propagate that belief in an effort to suppress Creationism (although Creationism is... well.. pretty stupid). But being a Thinking Atheist requires thinking. So have you really, really evaluated all the options? Even the ridiculous ones? Haters need not reply.

A challenge,
The_Thinking_Theist

The mere fact that you have asked "How many people here have actually read Origin of Species?" shows just how little you know about evolutionary theory.
