For some reason I'm reminded of a children's poem. A poem that I memorized and still remember. Ahem..... clears throat.

Me, Myself and I

I had a little tea party this afternoon at three,
Twas very small, three guests in all,
Just I, Myself and Me.

Myself ate up the sandwiches while I drank up the tea,
Twas also I who ate the pie and passed the cake to Me.

The End.

Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors.... on Donald J. Trump:

He is deformed, crooked, old, and sere,
Ill-fac’d, worse bodied, shapeless every where;
Vicious, ungentle, foolish, blunt, unkind,
Stigmatical in making, worse in mind.

Weird, creative, indecisive, slightly reserved. I think I'm okay. :-)

Shy, opinionated but open minded. I like to think I'm a kind person.

I like myself okay.

When I am good, I am very, very good. Angel

Trying to get rid of the horrid side, but it's a never-ending battle.

RE: What do you think of yourself?
I like me.

I just wish I didn't blush so easily. Blush Or get flustered when people in positions of authority are being condescending. It's my weakness.

I sometimes have trouble understanding people when they are really upset - I would make a terrible therapist. ER nursing certainly fit with my personality - straightforward, to the point. I don't like guesswork on emotions - if I say I'm hurting, that's what I mean. If you say you're having suicidal thoughts, I'm going to be direct, to the point. If you have a poor prognosis, I'm not going to sugar coat things and give you false hope - this is how it is, how do you want to make the most of it? Some people don't like that approach, and I'm fine with it - I have a hard time being something I'm not. I know that wording sounds really harsh, but I'm actually a really kind person, and that's how most people see me. I have to hide enough of myself when people start talking about religion, otherwise what you see is what you get.

When it comes to humor, however, I am anything but straightforward. I like layers of irony and sarcasm. Probably why I crack jokes with sexual innuendo. For instance, the recent "somebody calm me down thread". My post was very basic at surface level pointing out morondog's use of the word penetration. It was my attempt to throw in humor based on the title of the thread and 'calm down' the OP, make fun of people in general and myself with how there isn't much thought put into their choices of literature (like the bible which was pointed out by the op in that thread) by making a brainless comment, and a nod toward's the mention of 50 shades of grey (another crap book) in morondog's very thoughtful reply. It's why I like poetry - one sentence, one word, can have five meanings. My nursing charts from the ER would definitely make the lists that go around the internet with funny quotes - and all of them would hold up in court Angel

That being said, back to my opening - I like me. It's as simple or as complex as you want to make it. I've come a long way to be able to say that about myself.

"If there's a single thing that life teaches us, it's that wishing doesn't make it so." - Lev Grossman

Haha, it's true though, I don't much care what others think of me anymore either. People spend way too much time worrying about it.

I'm awesome, and if you don't see it, that's your problem. Tongue
