RE: What is "Love" to you?
Love

Like the explosion
of clean, brilliant joy;
or the soft, warm glow of tender happiness;
fresh, sweeping wind of humour and laughter;
the beauty of a human soul to trust;
the quiet, soothing pleasure
when playing like a child;
the choking passion
that lights up the sky with raging fire
or the solemn, precious pride
of the father
of a beautiful child:
You are worth
waiting for

RE: What is "Love" to you?
Love is a connection.

For no matter how much I use these symbols, to describe symptoms of my existence.
You are your own emphasis.
So I say nothing.

Yeah, that's got it. And very nicely and succinctly. I need to update our poetry ebook.

Yeah, but so is hate.

As it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
And I will show you something different from either
Your shadow at morning striding behind you
Or your shadow at evening rising to meet you;
I will show you fear in a handful of dust.

Thanks, GirlyMan -- here is another one for the collection (called "Hope").

Hate is disconnection.

Absolutely. It is not the opposite of love; hate is a corruption of love. It can be used as a "power source" (as love is unconditional it is also without focus - hate can be that focus - like I hate religion) but it is not recommended, as it is corruption.

My "hatred" of religion is not Action but Reaction - and I gots to remember not to over-react. Wink

Loving someone & being in love with someone are two totally different things.

Which one are you referring to?

As chemistry, love is "susceptible to catalyst," as it were. To love is to exist in unconditional neutrality and love all; to be in love... tends towards extremes. Big Grin

Like somebody and She Who Must Not Be Named; or for a more graphical demonstration, bring Gwyneth Paltrow over my house and watch my head explode. Science cool, fool; let's keep it chilly... Big Grin
