RE: What is Rape Culture?
I was recently involved in a large-scale investigation into sexual violence. The only 'rape culture' that exists is the denial and censorship of female sexual violence, especially against minors. I have a blog post with a selected reference list: http://www.sciencevsfeminism.com/resourc...liography/

What is Rape Culture?
I'm just here to mention how much I hate people sometimes.

I will give you reasons why nobody cares about that is:

A) You are a man, men are supposed to be powerful with ripped muscles. Gay or Straight all men should be fighters with the strength of an ox, working out and testing each others strength. As a man it is your job to be strong and if any one attacks you fight back with all your might.

B) You see males tend not to be bothered by females moving on to them. Maybe if they are not into females then I understand or if the female does not match ones taste in looks or sexual acts, but other than those men don't care. Females tend to be more picky when it comes to mates, and they should, seeing as females must pick a mate they can trust their offspring with. It is natural for many female species.

Blink I can't tell if this is supposed to be a serious argument or not.

RE: What is Rape Culture?
I really think that the problem is this idea of "victim blaming" and the misuse of the term. It is never the fault of the victim, and even if they have the power or physical opportunity to stop it, I personally don't put "blame" on a rape victim.
However, giving people help on how to avoid situations, although not the ideal solution, is at the very least preferable to constantly telling them that they will never have any ability to change their position and it is only in the hands of the perpetrator. That I think is more dangerous.
I have already been called a misogynist and a victim blamer for espousing that position.
Some have argued that radfems actually want more rape, and want higher rape stats so that they can complain more about rape. With the mentality that they posit, that might be a serious possibility, but more likely not intentional.
Now for the complete rain of strawmen.

If somebody points out a fallacy, and you call fallacy fallacy, that doesn't mean you are right. That just means you committed the very fallacy you accused your opponent of.
