"Seven" is an "idea" which you had to learn to "call" *seven*.
It is a mental *construction*.

Assuming that there are indeed *seven* hamburgers in front of us. What would we call it if it's not *seven*? Unsure

Lol. It is more reasonable to called it as "a bunch of dead cows in a bun". Consider

We would call it whatever (as infants/children) we learned to call a group of distinct objects which our brains perceive as simutaneously :
1 + 6, and or, 5 + 2, and or 4 + 3, and or 3 + 4, and or 2 + 5, and or 6 + 1.
That "name" could be anything.
In order to be "useful", we would have to agree what name to use.

Yeah. But that must be more difficult for the children to learn it as it's more complex and complicated. Maybe that's why the simplification happen and then the 6+1 is called as *seven*.

So if we called "one" as 1 then it's no longer different. Consider

The (number) "1" signifies the same concept as the word "one", (or actually the reverse).
