RE: What is the best evidence against Christianity
I think you are working backwards (others have suggested this in their own way). Instead of asking for evidence against something being true, you should look for evidence it is true. And the paucity of evidence showing that the bible and Christianity's claims are true is an indication that they are more likely myth than fact.

Metaphorically speaking of course.

Then why do biblical scholars believe the empty tomb was true

I don't know, ask them. But a paucity of actual evidence isn't a demonstration that it is true.

edit to add: people believe all sorts of things that aren't true for stupid reasons. "Biblical scholars" aren't immune to error about the reality of the biblical claims.

Is there evidence that the tomb of Jesus was empty

You can't simply see one bit of evidence and say "aha! it's all bs!" religion is something that has to be deconstructed with numerous supporting foundations that are undermined to the point that it collapses.

Did you watch those links I gave earlier in the thread? You're not even giving the subject the serious consideration it deserves if you didn't.

Here's an entire series, subscribe to Evid3nc3's channel and watch the whole series:

Are you serious enough to take the time to deconstruct a religious belief?

Will you even watch a few videos?

If not, you are not serious and you're wasting your time and our time.

That might be a hint. What sort of loving God governs through terror?

I doubt that many of them do. Unless by "empty" you mean that either Jesus never existed or Jesus never had a tomb. One of the features of crucifixion was being left on the cross to rot. Jesus' tomb was empty because he ended up buzzard chow.

There is ZERO evidence for any of it and we know the history of xianity. Had they evidence or knowledge the Council of Nicea would not have been such a bloodbath.

Look up Helios and Mithra.

RE: What is the best evidence against Christianity
The point that should be emphasized is that the best evidence against christianity is the paucity of evidence that its central claims are true.

-No evidence of a god
-No evidence Jesus existed
-Even if Jesus existed, there is no evidence to show that he was:
1) god incarnate
2) capable of magic
3) born of a virgin
-No evidence of heaven or hell

It's almost amazing how something with no evidence of its claims is so widely believed.

Regardless of whether or not all biblical scholars accept (pretty sure they don't) that whatever tomb Jesus, had he existed at all, was indeed empty, an empty tomb does not a resurrection make.

And if Jesus had actually existed (no contemporary evidence that he did), it's far more likely that he would have been tossed into a mass grave as opposed to having the 'honor' of being placed in a tomb.

In any case, to answer your original question, there is no evidence supporting the validity of Christianity, much as there is no evidence for rainbow-barfing unicorns. It's not about proving either false, you can't, because they're unfalsifiable; it 's about proving that there's any truth to them.

As is, just like rainbow-barfing unicorns, Christianity's got nothing.

Ignorance is not to be ignored.
