That's hardly necessary; an artificial intelligence different enough that it is no longer worth its time to work with us is almost certainly different enough that it would have little enough to gain by working against us.

Kidding aside, provided such an intelligence is contained (can't wreak havoc on outside systems and can't be sabotaged from an outside system) and non-self replicating, it should have not only no reason for but no means for such a rebellion. Plus I assume some largely ceremonial human oversight committee that can pull the plug or refuse to execute orders incase the AI comes up with some drastic measure like razeing all of NYC to solve the rat problem or something like that.

I want to imagine a machine that gets pleasure from making humanity satisfied with a multiplier for sustainability. Harming humans should make it miserable and elevating them should be it's life goal.

If you can't hold yourself here, where you have the luxury of researching all of your examples and articulating your points to your hearts content, I don't think you will be able to do so on Skype. Drinking Beverage

I think it's rather that he sees no point in holding a private conversation when y'all might as well just interact right here.

I like Viziers. Grand viziers actually.
If I can't have one of them, I would want a Grand Poo-bah.
