Something like this:

Small and simple. That's a rental cottage, though.

RE: What is your dream house style?
Personally, I like a "modern" house, with 3 bedrooms....but only because A) It's within my grasp in a few years time and B) I grew up very poor, and this would literally be life affirming for me, to prove that I could better myself from that "low" point in my family's life.

If I had the money and the amount of free time, IE if I won the lottery and din't have to work, I'd live somewhere quiet in the country, most likely in a rustic style place Smile

Pip if you can!

I would looooooove a small house, more rustic style, nestled in gardens on acres of land Smile

I don't think I ever saw that; it's more a hobbit house although I'd prefer it to be simpler than that picture and without the fence. The key is being built into a hillside.

Bag End for the win. Thumbsup

And yes, that's Gamgee residence, not Bag End, SFW?

A lodge style timber frame with water views. Something like this would probably work, but I would prefer it on a clear cold mountain stream as opposed to a lake.

My dream home would be an apartment in a big city, within walking distance of everything I need: a grocery, a post office, a bank, a pharmacy, and several nice restaurants.
