RE: What is your theme song?
Theme song? This probably. That's how I am inside. Melancholic, hesitant, quirky, a little broken, but hopeful and have bright moments Wink

But you know me more like this:

By the way, TSG, I think you're going to like this. Melancholy inside.
Final Fantasy - A Night at the Opera mix - reminds me of the Zelda theme, only slower and better. I got it about 10 years ago from Modarchive, just converted it to mp3.

And a good followup for the Moonlight Sonata.

If you claim there are nuances to principles, there are no nuances to getting arrested or shot for disobeying the power.

Nice thread.

Perhaps you should start one where we can pick a song for another team member.

I'll go for earmuffs and ...

But perhaps that will backfire as some of you have already marked me as a ...

Meanwhile for narcissism's sake... my three:

My awkward youth and the inner child in me:

How my co-workers see me:

How I see my adult self:
"Got a song to pass the day and a girl to share the night"

RE: What is your theme song?
Oh, Soundgarden's "Boot Camp" for sure.

Fuck if I can describe it better than Chris' lyrics do, but this song is just me - always wanting something more, always convinced there is something better on the horizon, and yet I'm bound by all these social expectations (the "musts" in the lyrics) and the bleakness of reality itself.

And when he goes into that chant of sorts with the "Far away, far away from here," I just... fuck. It's just me. Chris somehow manages to rip out all my deepest longings and fears and put words to them when I can't...

I must obey the rules
I must be tame and cool
No staring at the clouds
I must stay on the ground
In clusters of the mice
The smoke is in our eyes
Like babies on display
Like angels in a cage
I must be pure and true
I must contain my views
There must be something else
There must be something good
Far away far away from here
Far away far away from here
Far away far away from here
Far away far away from here
And I'll be here for good
For good

When you are courting a nice girl an hour seems like a second. When you sit on a red-hot cinder a second seems like an hour. That's relativity.

You cannot successfully determine beforehand which side of the bread to butter.
