RE: What makes TTA different?
Well,i cant talk about other atheistic forums, cuz i never felt a need to go there after i found here, but here are the main reasons why i stay:
it feels like family,we have small fights,we make peace,we love each other, its cozy in here. We have lots of interesting people, likeHoC,hughsie, girly, erxy,LJ,momsbb, atothetheist, bucky, muffs, ect who keep me entertained like forever, it is loosely moderated, but there are still rules, not cheesy, but not to serious either, not to strict but not to loose,in other words, exactly like i want my family to be,considering i dont see my real family a lot.
I even had tears of sadness and tears of joy after reading some posts *we shall never speak about this again!* ,wich normally doesnt happen to me.

RE: What makes TTA different?
Although Seth is never here, I think he has an influence on the forum. People who came to the forum through Seth or listen to his podcasts regularly are I think inclined to take a calm approach to issues of atheism and theism. I think he is an archetype that many of us look up to and want to emulate, and that people who are trying to emulate Seth are more likely to get along than people who are trying to emulate Richard Dawkins for example Wink

Give me your argument in the form of a published paper, and then we can start to talk.

I don't think we're meant to know the why, but just meant to enjoy that which makes us different and the same.

The people are great, the freedom of speech exceeds many (if not all) forums, and name a xian forum where atheists are tolerated let alone made mods.
