RE: What makes you unique?
Not sure how unique it is; some days my pupils remain dilated.

'I'm not on drugs', was a "fun" conversation I had with a lot of adults in my teens and most bosses later on.

Yes you are. Everyone has at least one unique thing. You're amazingly well-read for instance. Thumbsup

I guess I have uniquely bad sight.

As for being amazingly well read let's not go overboard with praise. Reading isn't dying art and I'm certain that number of folks here had read more than I.

I preffer to be accurate in self assesement - I'm smart but there are many smarter, I have some knowledge of Shoah or Russian Revolution but nothing out of norm for layman interested in topic, I read much but...

RE: What makes you unique?
Not much physically unique about me, other than abnormally muscled calves (they are kind of like Popeye's forearms). This is mostly genetic, but doing a lot of bicycling has probably helped as well.

I have a relatively high IQ (I was briefly a member of Mensa back in my 20s), but never graduated from college.

The most "unique" thing about me, I think, would be my habits and preferences. I don't own a car and I don't watch TV. Those two things alone make me at least odd, compared to most Americans. I spend most of my spare time reading and listening to music. In the summer, I go for long bike rides on the weekends, and once a month or so, I'll go play in a chess tournament. Compared to most other people I know, these are all oddball hobbies. Also, I have never had the slightest interest in video games or porn (both obsessions with a lot of my co-workers).

Finally, I live in Wisconsin and I don't like cheese (although I'm fine with most other dairy products).

RE: What makes you unique?
Well, I share 99.9% of my DNA with every other human on the planet, so I suppose it's that 0.1% that makes me unique.

Of course I also share more than a quarter of my DNA with yeast, which may explain my fondness for fermented beverages. Yes

RE: What makes you unique?
  • I have questionable short-term memory but an awesome long-term memory. It takes me extra time to learn things, but they stay learned.
  • The proportions between my back and legs are a bit off, with the back being longer than average. When seated I appear much taller than I actually am.
  • I'm ludicrously flexible for someone my age, and under the right conditions can touch my elbows to the floor when my knees are straight. (This could be a side effect of the aforementioned long back.)
  • I have an ear for voices: I can recognize people on the phone, and also mimic voices. The Muppets voiced by Frank Oz (e.g. Cookie Monster, Animal, Grover) are particularly easy for me to do. I also have a "phonographic memory" that allows me to recall songs or mentally rehearse music on demand.

I'm sorry, but your beliefs are much too silly to take seriously. Got anything else we can discuss?
