Yep - the "weird" movie thread got me thinking about this one again.... The Forbidden Zone. Seriously Erx, this is one you really need to experience.... with or without medication. Wink

I know you'll at least want to see it for Hervé Villechaize.

Ok, maybe with meds. Shy

However, I know I can tempt you with .... The Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo. Wink

I think in the end, I just feel like I'm a secular person who has a skeptical eye toward any extraordinary claim, carefully examining any extraordinary evidence before jumping to conclusions. ~ Eric ~ My friend ... who figured it out.

Did you post this somewhere else recently? I saw the trailer and thought it looks great, except for Herve, who might bring back PTSD from my teen Saturday nights with Mr. Rourke and Captain Stubing. Confused

OK, I have it reserved at the library. Can't wait. Big Grin

I must admit that although I know a lot of the soundtrack and am familiar with a lot of the cult traditions, I'm actually a virgin to watching the entire movie start to finish. Shocking

Also for some ultra violence, Natural Born Killers.

Super hero jazz is handled awkwardly in such films as Super, and Defendor. I prefer Defendor between the two tho0ugh both are only decently passable.

I just watched Cabin in the woods, and I won't say how. But give that a go as well. Good movie. I avoided it previously for some reason. Wish I hadn't. Best "Horror" movie to come out in a while.

I watched Cabin In The Woods last week. I completely avoided it as a horror movie until I saw that it was a JJ Abrams film with a twist and it had the nerdly science guy from Dollhouse playing a stoner so that was cool. I didn't find it as amazing as I thought it would be, but I enjoyed it.

Also, whoever recommended The Spanish Prisoner (maybe Kimmies?), I just finished watching it. Wow, more plot twists than Usual Suspects...not that it was as exciting as that, but it was cool trying to figure it all out.

Dark City.
I finally watched this last week. The whole way through, I kept thinking I had seen it before. So much looked familiar, but the plot was completely unknown. Later I found out it was filmed with a lot of the same sets as The Matrix. I remember seeing the trailers when the movie came out and decided it was too scary for me. What I pussy I was/am. Anyway, I really liked Dark City. Interesting mystery in a trippy world. Thumbsup
