If I could ride, I would ride to hounds

(but only if it's a drag hunt, i.e., the hounds follow the scent of a hound, laid a few hours previously by volunteers, so no harm to actual foxes and a generally safer course to ride)

Your faith is not evidence, your opinion is not fact, and your bias is not wisdom

I haven't done a segway tour yet, that's prob my next thing. Maybe hanfggliding too.

Hanggliding would be fun! I wish you lived closer, LJ, you seem so fun to hang out with Smile

Ditto! So many adventures to experience in this sweet life. Chase

I've always wanted to ride a dinosaur like at the Creationist museum. Funny how very few of the mammals alive today which are big enough to ride are capable of being domesticated. Yet from creationist science it appears lots of dino's were cooperative enough. (I wonder if their research stopped at watching old Flintstone cartoons?)

Man got to sit and wonder 'why, why, why?'
Tiger got to sleep, bird got to land;
Man got to tell himself he understand.”

I found myself wishing that I had climbed Everest once I was too damn old to reasonably consider it.
The wife and I got hooked on streaming "Everest Beyond The Limit".
I was sad when they canceled that show.
It was a big big controversy in the last season when people walked past the climber who was dying and the guy who was the head of the operation told them to.
He has been harshly criticized about it ever since.
It divided the climbing community.
Everest is covered with dead bodies that you climb right past.

Documentary about the controversy

Have you ever read the book, Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer? It's a really well written and researched book. I'm fascinated by people who climb crazy mountains like that. I'd never do it myself because I have a huge fear of heights but I'm fascinated by the process people go through to get to the top.

Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors.... on Donald J. Trump:

He is deformed, crooked, old, and sere,
Ill-fac’d, worse bodied, shapeless every where;
Vicious, ungentle, foolish, blunt, unkind,
Stigmatical in making, worse in mind.

I have read so many mountaineering books. They're my catnip. And Krakauer is a fabulous writer; I've read everything of his I can get my hands on. I would never want to climb Everest or K2, etc., but I love every detail about climbing. Also have watched every documentary on Everest (but not any fictional Everest or climbing pics).

Outdoor activities I'd like to do: bowls. Maybe glamping, but it feels a little hardcore for me.

Like to try what used to be called "paradiving", but is now usually referred to scuba-skydiving.
You go out of a plane with skydiving and scuba equipment, parachute over water, then jettison the chute and switch to scuba diving.

Done skydiving; done scuba; never combined them. Smile

Why would I go outside?
