Tonight my wife made us home made tacos, home made salsa and...the best...home made tortilla chips (hers are the best). So tasty.

The main dish was noodles and hamburger meat with tomatoes and cheddar cheese. The side was a salad of spinach with strawberries and toasted pecans. After that, I ate some pound cake. I think we eat well enough.

Birthday dinner tonight for my (not so little) carnivore.

Tri tip roast (rubbed with olive oil, garlic and salt and pepper)
Cremini mushrooms with a Pinot reduction
Asperagus

I went to a "good bakery" and bought a couple cupcakes for him and his older brother.

First year I'm not baking a cake. Undecided

O.K. so...

You take a bunch of biscuit dough from those tubular containers you find at the supermarket, and spread it around on a big cookie sheet. Looks like a big donut Shy

Cook up some hamburger meat in a skillet w/ taco seasoning just like if you were making tacos then spread it around in the 'center' of the loop of dough. Put cream cheese on top of the meat. Refried beans on top of the cream cheese, and thinly cut slices of swiss cheese on top of that!

Role up the biscuit dough around all the stuff in the 'middle', and sprinkle some pre-grated cheddar on top of the roled up dough, and place in oven.

Comes out looking like a small life preserver of cheesy bread goodness Big Grin

Tonight was rib steak on the grill, butter&sugar corn on the cob, sliced tomatoes, and fresh bread.

Whatever I can find in the fridge - I have munchies.
