I just sat down with a simple winter meal, already have my (extremely low quality) webcam plugged in, so I thought I'd get a picture of tonight's dinner.

I also have a glass of mead, not pictured. This is a common winter meal for me, just simple things, and everything seasonal and mostly local.
Have some sauerkraut I made myself with a cabbage I was given by a friend a few months back, and a variety of European style sausages. Have three salamis I bought from some Germans at a local christmas market recently; plain, peppered, and with hazelnut. A chorizo style sausage made by a farm a few miles up the road, and two little sausages a neigbour makes; the recipes are secret, but as far as I can tell one is made with red chillis and lots of garlic, while the other is paprika and juniper.
I think the 'paprika and juniper' one is my favourite actually :3 And the hazelnut salami u3u

Living on pickles, hams and jerkies is probably one of my favourite parts of winter. The autumn vegetables are always exciting, but putting them in jars for winter is usually more exciting than seeing them springing out of the ground xD

Kraut and Sausages. NOMS. It may kill me later but right now it sounds damn good.

What do they say..never go to the store hungry....

I came home with chicken strips, ramen noodles and frozen pizza.

Dodgy

I know there's a meal in there somewhere.

But as if to knock me down, reality came around
And without so much as a mere touch, cut me into little pieces

Just trimmed down the ham bone and cubed up some of the meat. Put it in the crockpot with spices and Great Northern Beans. Later will make some cornbread.

Haven't made this in quite a while. Drooling

A simple dinner, but one of my favourites

garlic rubbed toasted ciabatta with an olive oil and balsamic dip, and a mix of green and black olives with feta :3

My son made his first curry at school today.

Yummy! He should cook more often!

Tonight was scrambled eggs, bacon, fried potatoes, and toast.

The potatoes were left-over roast potatoes from the roast beef dinner Friday.
