So every saturday and sunday morning, once the wife and I get done sleeping in, snuggling and......well you know...we shower and I make breakfast. It is close to an English breakfast, and I must admit, my fine tuning of this meal over having made it or a version of it hundreds of times has ruined the fun of going out for breakfact because why get dressed and go out and pay to have a 3 out of 10 meal, when I can stay home in my boxers and make a 10 out of 10 meal Big Grin

My wife sure does seem to enjoy it, over there moaning, sipping coffee and orange juice while relishing every bite...

- Poached eggs
- sometimes ham thinly sliced and lightly warmed, sometimes an occasional hot dog sliced length wise and pan fried
- I cut up potatoes, garnished with green peppers and onions and stir fry them in a pan
- fresh grape tomatoes from our qarden picked the day before and chilled in fridge
- buttermilk biscuits with either honey or strawberry jelly
- cold, right out of the can bush brand beans on the side (wife loves them)

the pic doesnt do it justice Drooling

Hubby said tonight, he's cooking. He plans to make chicken fried steak with gravy and mashed potatoes.

I guess veggies will be optional. Tongue

Injured my shoulder again, so took a week vacation to write my research papers, mend, sit around getting fat, and lurking over TTA Drooling

I have a 4-pound chunk of pork shoulder, surrounded by garlic cloves and wrapped in foil, slow-cooking in the oven. Should be ready in a couple of hours, whereupon it'll be served with a bottle of sparkling wine.

Leftovers from last night, when I made tostadas topped with pork, beans, cheese, cilantro, green onion, tomato, and a little.lime, sour cream and salsa on the side. I'll be having it on soft corn tortillas tonight, because after a lot of driving today I'm not up to doing any frying, even. Street taco style, for SoCal readers.

Got a great deal on some center cut boneless pork loin chops last night...over two pounds for under five bucks! Have them in the crockpot with Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce. Going to shred it up and eat it on buns. Potato salad in a big container was on sale for four bucks...husband likes it, I am not a big fan. Baked beans and potato chips for me.

Best part - I won't have to cook tomorrow. Thumbsup

Just made a pizza on the grill. I'm still getting the hang of it, but this one was a definite improvement over the first one.
