Lamb shoulder chop, a yam, and a glass of Cabernet Franc.

2 MorningStar spicy black bean burgers, Ezekiel bread, and chipotle sweet potato fries.

Go to Heaven for the climate, Hell for the company.

Did up chicken fried steak, but used pork insead. I've only done chicken fried steak once or twice before, with reasonably delicious results, but whatever the hell I breaded and fried tonight was reason enough to believe in God again. The gravy would be the holy ghost. My wife's mashed taters are every bit as good as her mother's, that's a very good thing.

Blessed be. We ate very well tonight.

But now I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma, a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret it as though it had an underlying truth.

Look up "Wiener Schnitzel". That is either pork or veal or beef, cut very thin and breaded. Gotta love every version thereof!

I cooked some store-bought prepared Buffalo wings and made a salad to go with it.

The salad was good, the wings were mediocre.Dodgy

Yes, my MIL makes schnitzel for special occasions. It's everyone's favorite. She uses finely crushed cornflakes for the breading so it has extra crispy texture. I suppose what I did is a version of that but with full sized pork cube steaks ( or whatever they were called) and breaded much differently. Either way, it was awesome.

Shoot, we've got plenty of threads around here that have been derailed by great baby recipe ideas. Can't think of one right off the top of my head, but stick around, it's bound to happen again.
