A slow cooker is proof you don't actually have to know how to cook in order to prepare delicious meals. Big Grin

That and my halogen grill/oven get a lot of use! Oh, and the pressure cooker.

BTW: a favourite snack/starter of mine is dates (de-stoned and sometimes stuffed with slivers of garlic or chilli) wrapped in thin bacon and grilled till crisp.

These, I think, have an Italian name - anyone know it?

Damn, I am almost Drooling and it's too late at night to do much about it!

Tomorrow is precious, don't ruin it by fouling up today.

I just set a pork roast with gravy and lots of vegetables in the slow cooker. Drooling

Pork chops, long grain and wild rice, and peas.

Should be ready in about five minutes.

Panini today: Mortadella, arugula, mozzarella, tomato and aioli pressed in fresh Italian bread.

I used the bone from the small ham I cooked the other day as well as leftover ham and cooked it up with great northern beans with cornbread on the side.

This is a great cool weather meal that I haven't made in quite some time...so of course it was 80 here today and is currently 77 inside and out. But it was good anyway.

I made a nice stir-fry tonight -- chicken breast, broccoli, peppers, onions, and mushrooms over rice, seasoned with teriyaki, ginger, cumin, garlic powder (didn't feel like doing it fresh), and hot sauce.

Shredded beef sliders with roast baby potatoes.

I'm basically basing all my meals around this godly sauce my flatmate brought me for Christmas.
5 days and I've almost used the entire bottle. That shit is good.

I just put a small (<3 lb.) sirloin roast in the oven. I'll figure out the rest in an hour. Smile

Might be snowed in (see Ranting Corner) or lose power, so cook the roast.
