The article has a list of "Avoidance and defense:" which includes things like running away or kicking it in the snout.
Curiously, they don't include just shooting the fucking hog. Facepalm

Just listened to this story on CBC radio about a woman that was reunited with her child after 50 years. The child was taken from her for "immorality" Absolutely crazy! http://www.cbc.ca/radio/dnto/dnto-reunit...-1.2948353

Can't find a decent link for this but heard about it on the radio yesterday - Wine, Women, and Jesus. Apparently there is a Bible study in a local winery.

I assume a bit of a buzz might make it easier to take.

500mm of water expected over two days starting tomorrow.
That's 1.64 feet of water for the metric impaired.

RE: What's happening in your neck of the woods?
Bura. Bura is the name of Croatia's north-east dry wind. Very dry and very cold weather comes with it. BUT! This time we had rain/snow and wind. Lucky us. You know how every now and then we hear about some strong hurricanes that knocked down houses in USA and they call it "a hurricane" when the wind hits 130 km/h. Well, here in Dalmatia, our bura was blowing at 230 km/h yesterday, today it is going at around 200 km/h. A nice breeze... No ferries are going anywhere, trucks and buses are prohibited to drive across most bridges, some of them are closed for all traffic, whole Dalmatian coast is paralyzed, highways are closed, air traffic is grounded, islands are cut off, parts of buildings are falling down, trees are being knocked over parked cars, people are falling down, fucking crazy.

A fun fact about March. My grandmother was always saying that every year there will be 3 buras in March. On 7th, 17th and on 27th and you might not believe it, but it is pretty correct, every year. Yeah, it's only 6th of March today, but, hey, don't be a smartass. Smile Of course, it's not always this strong, but it is a bit funny how every year we have 3 buras blowing on the (more or less) same dates and it has been like that from ... forever. This is one of those stories grandparent tell to their kids. "Watch out from the 3 buras of March!"

Yesterday, one incredible thing happened. A woman on the island (7 miles from mainland) had a heart attack. She needed emergency transport to the mainland and the main hospital. Helicopters were grounded and could not take off, the ferries did not even try to go anywhere and there was only one thing to do. The island has one emergency speedboat and a basic emergency team for similar types of situations, but this time the wind and the waves were stronger and bigger than anyone every remembered. Brave captain, sailor, a doctor and a medical technician got on the speedboat along with the patient and they managed to get to the mainland across 6 meter waves. Extremely brave and courageous thing to do, they saved a womans life, she is recovering in the hospital at this moment.

RE: What's happening in your neck of the woods?
Holy shit! And here I am complaining about the 3’-5’ seas for the last month.

We have a diddy for our hurricane season, it goes like this:

June too soon.
July stand by.
August prepare we must
September remember
October all over

First thing I do every morning during this time is check satellite images of the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico.
