I used to keep my stash in a hollowed out Bible.

I never noticed before that the beginning of Exodus is where the hammer was hidden.

What to do with a 2' stack of bibles?
(11-03-2017 01:18 PM)BackSlider Wrote:  Well I'm looking for some advice. I recently posted for sale my stack of bibles. Yeah, two full feet of god's word for only $50! Some with covers, most with insightful notes.

What was I thinking? No takers but I did get some unsolicited advice such as:
1. Hopefully you are not done reading the Bible! Maybe after 11 you have it memorized.
2. Looks like only one real Bible. ( Gasp ) I was once a huge NIV guy...until I dug deep into the history of the two streams of Greek manuscript which make up our Bibles. If your desperately bored, you can see what I discovered here:
Facepalm

I was quick to point out that all were real bibles but I'll let one go for $5 if he truly has a preference over one particular God's words' in the box.
Blink (No reply.)
3. Lastly was an offer to take em for free and distribute as she saw the need(y). ( I'll presume her clever christian intentions was not worth $4.5 ea. per offering to her either.)

So, what would you do with a 2' stack of bibles you can't sell back to the store or to the club members?

Mail them to Muslims.

I've always appreciated subtle details in movies like that.

I get to decide what my life looks like, not the other way around.

Go around to your local libraries and put a copy in the FICTION section.

It could go under A for anonymous, or J for jesus, or B for Bullshit. Your choice!

Ballast?

Don't let those gnomes and their illusions get you down. They're just gnomes and illusions.
