Question What type of person would you trust with godly powers?
Everyone is familiar with a variant on the adage that the more power you accrued, the more corrupt you will be. That a moral man with godly powers will end up the same way as an immoral man with godly powers.

Is there a type of person that you would trust with godly powers? (powers being something similar to that of the genies in Aladdin).

Nope, nobody. Except me, of course, whom I trust implicitly.

"You're a better man than I am, Gunga Din."

And to answer the question - probably no one. Because no single person can please everybody in the world or know what is best for them, or should even have such a responsibility.

Actually, the question isn't even defined well. Are you talking about someone ruling the world or being capable of moving houses and people miles away, so that someone can nail some broad who's having a bath?

Give the power to me. My first change would be to make everybody the same (as in everybody has my powers as well)

Except your roommates. Drinking Beverage

If I have to choose someone other than myself and not no one, I would go with someone like Steven Hawking or Neil DeGrasse Tyson. a) I think they are decent people and b) they'd be too busy exploring space and satisfying their curiosity to use it to harm the rest of us.

Better without God, and happier too.

Nah, with truly godlike power, they would explore all of space, all of it, every inch of it, in the first second of their omnipotence. I'm not saying it would take the whole second, clearly it would not. But that means that (less than) one second after giving Hawking or Tyson omnipotence, their curiosity would be satisfied and they'd have the rest of your life to be "corrupted absolutely" and ruin your life. And mine, which I care about much more than yours (which is not to say I don't care about you, just that I care about me much more).

Still not the best idea.

Aww, rats! You're a dude?

Uh, with this new info, you can just disregard that previous request for pics...

Angel

Or it might explain why you're better at being a man than me - much more practice. (Does dreaming I'm a man count for practice Consider )

Just to clarify, in general, my comment about having sex in the bath was an allusion to the tale of Alladin (though obviously not the Disney version).
