ALL the deities lived in the heavens, you fool, (or most of them). Facepalm

It's nonsensical to talk about "myths" being created while at the same time talkig about climbing ladders and mountains to talk to this god unless you are talking about a visible figure in the sky.

Right. We KNOW the Greeks all *saw* their mythical deities. And then they went up to Mt. Olympus to visit them.
What an idiot.

No references. No proof. Per your idiotic usual crap assertions, with not one reference.
The moon is made of green cheese.
There is not a shred of evidence anywhere, or any school of scholarship that buys into this Orion = Yahweh garbage. Canaanites were not Armenians.

Your fictional *Caananites* may have been. Sadcryface2 Hobo
*Fuckhead can't even spell the name of his fictional people correctly.

Sorry is it intimidates you that someone may chose to actually get a real education, (as opposed to you, who just dot-connects, and makes up shit, and thinks people will buy your snake oil.)

Wrong. 100 % wrong.

Which is what WE told you, during your last pathetic visit here, where you claimed he did actually come from Ur.

If he didn't exist, he *came from* nowhere. Can't have it both ways, fool.

RE: What/who is Yahweh?
Many of the posts here so far are very well detailed and very good information about why the Abrahamic God is called Yahweh. Sometimes in a debate with a Christian they don't even know what his name is so when I say "Yahweh tells the Israelites to kill babies..." They're like "Who said that? That's not very nice." and I'm like, "Yahweh is the God you worship!" I have to admit it's usually a Christian who hasn't studied the bible or goes to church on a regular basis but they should still know what his name is, it's not just "God".

On another note I just finished reading, God:The Most Unpleasant Character in All Fiction by Dan Barker and it's a great read. In the book he starts out with the story of Exodus and God speaking to Moses and telling him his name is "Jealous".

Exodus 34:14-15
For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.

Throughout the rest of the book Dan Barker continues to use this name and says "So the Lord Jealous said..." It's a constant reminder that the benevolent all-loving deity who created the universe not only feels the petty weak emotions of a human being but actually embodies one of the most destructive insecure feelings anyone could ever have. The only reason for anyone to feel jealous is because of the fear and desperation that comes with rejection. Why would any God feel something like this? It was funny reading the book and see him constantly called "Jealous" because it does say clearly that this word is his name even when he says he wants to be called other names.
