Whelp starbucks made the news again.... 3 guesses why....
So I'm risking getting caught to share this, but seeing as everyone left the room I have a moment to share.

Starbucks is in the news again for Racism style shit. This is kinda.... um.... wow.....

So, this isn't a case of someone saying a racial slur, or writing one on the cup. Someone put it in the computer and the employee that printed the ticket used it. WTF.

Meh, Mexicans just wanna live man. Stop trying to kick us out. I mean hell I was born here.

I suspect it's more a matter of the individual, rather than the company. I'd guess that the barrista in question was perhaps butthurt about the scheduled in-house sensitivity training and wanted to express that, hoping it'd fly under the radar.

At any rate, this incident will probably be incorporated into the training, and that's a good thing. "If you do this, you will be fired."

I can't even boycott Starbucks. I hate their fucking burned coffee and will never go in there.

I need to cash in on this. Tomorrow I'm going to drive around to various Starbucks until I find a non white employee taking orders. When they ask my name I'll say whitey or cracker. I need some star*bucks*.

If this is legit, this employee needs fired.

Death is a debt we all must pay...

Oddly enough ---

We have a coffee shop chain here - Biggby - that changed from the former name - Beaners.

Go figure.

I've only been to Starbucks a few times and really have never been impressed. Of course, I am not much of a coffee drinker. I don't like their tea either. A couple times I have picked up a breakfast sandwich but don't much care for nearly raw bacon. BLECH.

My daughter is a coffee fanatic and she much prefers a shop on the main street of town that is not a chain and she swears has the best coffee and coffee based drinks anywhere.

See here they are, the bruises, some were self-inflicted and some showed up along the way. -JF

Uh... "whelp"...   ???

According to my dictionary, "whelp" is defined as:

Noun
1.  the young of the dog, or of the wolf, bear, lion, tiger, seal, etc.
2.  a youth, especially an impudent or despised one.
3.  Machinery— any of a series of longitudinal projections or ridges on the barrel of a capstan, windlass, or any of the teeth of a sprocket wheel.
4.  (of a female dog, lion, etc.) to give birth to young.

Huh

Whelp - a polite way of saying " sonofabitch".

Oi- in an article about racism, USA today needs to up its game for editing...

FTFA:
Quote:The all-hands meeting results from fallout over the manager's decision to call police last month after two African-American came to a Starbucks in Philadelphia and didn't buy anything.

Two African-American what? Men? People? You have to follow that up with a noun. Facepalm
