When did America last win a war?
As far as I am aware it was the Pacific against Japan.

The first Iraq war was incomplete. The second a disaster. Afghanistan the same. Korea a stalemate. Vietnam a loss.

Seriously, when have they won? Commonwealth forces were also involved in the war against Japan. So why this unreal confidence?

RE: When did America last win a war?
Both Iraqi wars are "wins" by they stated warfare goal. First to protect quawait then topple Saddams & his non existent weapons to instill democracy to Iraq.

It's the aftermath spouting further needing wars or increased mayhem becausr of the after effects isn't incomplete. That's not the "goal" stated of the war.

If you don't count those as wins, surely there's no point to counting WW1 as a win for anyone. Honestly, I've often felt I think the longer time goes on, the more that will be view held on conjunction of WW1 & 2.

Banjo, you know that the war of East and West has been going since time immemorial. We kill each other because that's the way it's always been. "Win" a war??? What a strange idea.

Yabut there have been casualties. Have you seen those Starbucks cups?

It's only a matter of time before we stop observing Jesus' birthday on a pagan solstice holiday and quit putting up pagan wreaths, trees, and garlands. After that, I think it's only a matter of time before the heathens declare war on the pagan fertility holiday where we celebrate rabbits, eggs, candy, and the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

America has a mixed record.

'Murica! never lost a war (except maybe the War of Northern Aggression but they're still fighting that so there's hope...)

We won the Cold War. (Quibble away on that.)

The first Iraq war threw Saddam out of Kuwait, that was its goal. The Saudis didn't want Iraq destablized for fear that the Iranians would move in. The second war got Saudi support because Shrub promised that troops would stay until the country could stand on its own.

As for the Great Pacific War, yeah, we had allies. We also had 95% of the Navies and ALL of the strategic air forces on May 8th, 1945.

You didn't mention the Allies we had in Korea and Iraq I for some reason.
